Understanding Lo Shu Grid

  • Originated in ancient China, over 4,000 years ago.

  • Based on the Lo Shu Square, discovered on a mystical turtle shell in the Yellow River.

  • It is a 3×3 magic square where each row, column, and diagonal adds up to 15.

  • Used in Chinese numerology and Feng Shui to analyze personality, life patterns, and energy balance.

  • Each number (1–9) represents different aspects of life, helping guide decisions and self-understanding.

How to Calculate Lo Shu Grid

The Lo Shu Grid numbers are derived from a person's date of birth. You need to place all the numbers from the birth date and calculate the driver number (also called personality number) and conductor number (also called destiny number).

  1. 1. Write your full birth date in numbers: DD/MM/YYYY.

    • Example: 16/05/1990 → 1, 6, 0, 5, 1, 9, 9, 0.

  2. 2. List each digit individually and ignore zeros if desired.

    • From the example: 1, 6, 5, 1, 9, 9.

  3. 3. To Find The Driver Number (Personality Number), add the digits of the day.

    • From the example: 1+6=7

  4. 4. To Find The Conductor Number (Destiny Number), add the digits of the full date.

    • From the example: 1+6+5+1+9+9+9=31 = 3+1= 4

  5. 4. So, the Numbers presents are: 1, 6, 5, 1, 9, 9, 7, 4

  6. 5. Now, place these numbers in the Lo Shu Grid according to their fixed positions (1–9).

The missing numbers are 2, 3 and 8 – these are considered absent from this birth date
